SCCA Church Camp
Church camp is one of the best things about the summer. It's a great opportunity for your kids to experience Jesus in a fun, engaging way. Early-bird registration for camp is coming up on May 11th. So if you want to guarantee that your camper gets a shirt, you will need to register them before then.
One of the cool things is that our church covers half of their registration cost. So when you are registering your camper, click the half-registration box. You can visit the link below to register your camper. Feel free to contact the church if you need help or run into any hiccups!

Women's Minsitry Baseball Game
Our Women's Ministry is headed to Kauffman Stadium on June 19th for you, Royals, and Cardinals baseball! This will be a night full of peanuts, Cracker Jacks, and you will never want to come back... well, that's not 100% true, but you get the gist! The cost to attend will be $35 dollars, and the plan is to eat at the stadium, so you will want to bring some extra money for that. The vans will leave the Macon Campus at 3 pm and make a stop at our Brookfield Campus to pick up anyone from Linn County who is registered to go. Since it's a late game, we estimate we will be home around 12 am. There is a limited number of tickets available, and they are first-come, first-served, so be sure to sign up soon! You can do that by clicking the link below!
NYR
Nationwide Youth Roundup (NYR) is a trip for 9th-12th grade students in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Over 2,000 teens gather together to worship God in His creation while hearing relevant biblical teaching. It's the biggest, most fun camping trip a high schooler can experience!
Cost: $350 (including an $80 deposit that is due upon registration)
Deadline to sign up/full balance due: Sunday, July 5
-
NYR is short for Nationwide Youth Roundup. It is a Christian conference for teens that takes place at Roundup Ranch in Sedalia, CO. Each church group has its own designated campsite on the mountain, so your teen should expect a full-on camping experience. We’ll stay in tents, cook our own meals, bring camping chairs down into the valley for worship sessions, and debrief around a campfire at night. Portapotties are set up all around Roundup Ranch, and there are multiple showerhouses on-site as well.
-
Our group leaves a few days before the NYR conference officially begins. This is primarily for two reasons: First, because it allows us to set up our campsite before the valley gets too crowded with other groups trying to get up and down the mountain. Second, having a couple of days before the conference starts gives us the chance to bond together as our own group. We will have a couple of fun outings together in the Denver area that weekend before NYR begins.
-
$80 of the total balance must be paid at the time of registration as a non-refundable deposit. The full balance must be paid by Sunday, July 5th.
-
Yes! On Sunday, May 17, we will have a fundraiser grab-and-go meal at Crossroads during morning services. Any student who helps will earn money toward their trip balance. If a student wants to help but is unable to be there on that day, they can have somebody work in their place, just so long as it’s not another student attending the trip.
-
We will collect students’ phones once we arrive at our campsite on Friday the 17th. This is because we like for the campers to be able to disconnect from their normal life for a bit and focus on enjoying the NYR experience together. However, our adult leaders will have their own phones on them most of the time if someone needs to be contacted. Roundup Ranch also has a landline phone that can be contacted in case of emergencies: (866) 450-4697. In the event that a camper has some sort of emergency, Ian will contact their parent as promptly as possible.

LOC Sunday
LOC Sunday is one of our favorite Sundays each year because we get to go out into our community and serve as One Church! How it works is, you pick a project, whether it's painting, brush removal, notes of encouragement, child care, and sign up in the lobby or down below. You can sign up with your friends and family, or you can all sign up for different projects. Then on LOC Sunday, you will split off into your groups and go out and serve. Next, we want you to know about this year's shirts. This year, we have a new design that you can stop by CA Schoush to get. We are covering the transfers, so all you have to do is pay for the shirt of your choice! Last but not least, after we are done serving on LOC Sunday, we want you to come back and eat lunch together. This is a fun time to talk about where you served and to be together as a church family.
Use this link below to sign up for a project or if you have kids that will be dropped off for childcare
